The Cornell Institute for Science Educators (CISE) Lending Library program serves as a repository for valuable science resources for middle school (grades 5-8) and high school (grades 9-12) teachers.
With 40 laboratory investigations and design experiences, the Library provides instructional material as well as equipment for a variety of topics in physics, biology, engineering and chemistry. CISE hosts annual workshops to provide training in a variety of these investigations. Once an educator has received either in-person or online training, they can borrow materials for use the classroom, free-of-charge!
Laboratory investigations, materials kits, and corresponding equipment from the CNS Institute for Physics Teachers (CIPT) previously funded by the National Science Foundation, and the Cornell Institute for Biology Teachers (CIBT) previously funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, are available through CISE for secondary science (grades 5-12) teachers.
